Just a quick note to say I have received and hooked up ITVN (TV over broadband) to my TV.

Setanta Sports is brilliant!

I'll post more this weekend after I have had about a week's experience with it.

Television over Broadband.

Today I ordered Setanta Sports and the Interactive TV Networks (ITVN).

Setanta Sports carries a lot of soccer matches, including the English Premier League. It also has some rugby union (I think I've seen rugby league too), gaelic sports, Australian rules football and more. I'm most interested in soccer (go Arsenal!) but the other sports should be interesting as well - more rugby league please.

ITVN delivers TV content over a broadband internet connection. Some programming is by subscription like Setanta and other programing is pay-per-view, such as movies. ITVN uses a black box that plugs into a broadband modem (or router) and the television.

My ITVN box should arrive early next week, I'll let you know how things go.

The big mistake sixstringsdown made was losing his Queen in a uncovered attack.

Current Games
I’m playing in 2 games at Game Knot , both as black.

Just testing Vox's Video Feature
Why can't I search for You Tube videos in the Vox compose window by the ID of the submitter? Or enter my You Tube account info to have easy access to my own videos on YouTube? I like how Vox allows access to Flickr photos hopefully in the near future videos are just as easy.

About the Video
In 2005 the South Sydney Rabbitohs finally beat their crosstown rivals the Sydney Roosters in the National Rugby League. It had been eleven years of losses for the Bunnies. The video highlights are set to a rock song.

mydree added an entry about grow an herb garden:

August 13, 2006

So far so good. For a few bucks (about $4.00 if I remember correctly) and a little time, I got all of this (see photo). Every two weeks or so I put some Miracle-Gro in the water but other than that I didn’t do anything special with them. Herbs seem to be as easy to grow as I was led to believe.

Basil
The basil (backrow in the photo) is great however if I had to do it over again I would have grown tarragon, rosemary or sage instead – just my personal herb preference. The basil did take up a little time (besides watering) to prune the flowers but it’s not a big deal really.

Thyme
The thyme is also wonderful and took virtually no additional time besides watering.

Next: making a lot of pesto.
